In February, you had your say on the Waitematā Local Active Modes Plan (LAMP). While we liked the plans, we wanted a few stronger interventions to make them truly fit for purpose. AT have responded, and it’s a mixed bag.
We are grateful for everything Sue has given to Bike Auckland and to the people who ride bikes in this city. We will miss her, and we wish her well in everything that comes next.
By sharing the journey time to a destination by public transport, car and bike, the signs create awareness about travel options available.

Carrington Road is being dug up. This is an important crossing on the Northwestern Shared Path, as well as having its own cycle lane. Make sure you’re across how to navigate the area as things have changed a bit!
It’s a sad fact that safer street design often comes only after crashes. Your minor crash may mean the street is improved, and someone else’s major crash never happens.
