Here are a few photos from this morning’s small ceremony of NZTA and the local contractors opening the yellow “boardwalk” along Oakley Creek in Waterview. This is one of the first cycleways in the Waterview project that has been completed.
For the late-morning weekday timing, we still had a great turnout of some 40-50 cyclists to celebrate! Now onward to the new cycle underpasses, bridges and – in two years, a brand-new cycleway southwards from here to Owairaka.
