Recently, the Herald had an article highlighting the conflicting views on who was at fault for Jane Bishop’s death on Tamaki Drive. We’re not going to comment here except to provide – for those who might not know the location well – a photo of the “cycleway” at the crash spot. Taken outside of peak pedestrian traffic times, too.
Auckland Transport are currently installing real cycle lanes through the crash spot. Okay – if we had those everywhere they are needed, this discussion would be a bit more realistic.
