Making Tamaki Drive Safer for Cyclists

Cycle Lane White Paint Tamaki DriveCAA contributes more than 300 hours each week in order to make Auckland a better and safer city for cyclists.  Tamaki Drive has always been one of our major priorities.  Recently we’ve been pressing Auckland Transport to address the hazards of slippery white paint used for road markings along Tamaki after three cyclists were injured in separate incidences due to skidding on the paint.  You can read more about it in Saturday’s Herald article “White-line cycle menace go” and Wednesday’s follow up article “Cyclists battle over slippery white lines.”
