Thursday 03rd December

Big Bike Breakfast

Where: Scarecrow Kitchen
When: 7.00 - 8.30

Our first Bike Breakfast in our fab new venue. Fuel up for the Nelson St opening ceremony at 9 am. Coffee and pastries are free - but please RSVP ASAP, as numbers are limited!

Bike Auckland Breakfasts have a new venue – the fabulous new Scarecrow Kitchen and Store – and breakfast’s on us! From Thursday 3 December, the excellent folk at Scarecrow are providing free coffee for Bike Auckland’s monthly get-togethers, and we’ll also have delicious breakfast treats, thanks to Auckland Transport.

Note the earlier start time of 7.00 (not 7.30 as on the flyer) – this will give us a chance to get up to Nelson St for the opening ceremonies at 9 a.m.

We’re delighted to be working with these great partners for the first of our new Bike Auckland breakfasts. Join the crowd at Scarecrow for great conversation on Auckland urban cycling issues and a cheery start to the day on Thursday 3 December, from 7.00am onwards – and carry on afterwards by biking up to the official opening ceremony for the Nelson St Cycleway!

Everyone interested in Auckland biking and urban issues is welcome – but numbers are limited, so please confirm your attendance to Kirsten. Thanks again to Scarecrow, who support lots of great initiatives to make the inner city a great place as well as having such healthy & delicious food, and to Auckland Transport for coming to the party. See you there!

Date Thursday 3 December 7.00am (to approx 8.30am)
Venue Scarecrow Kitchen, 33 Victoria St East (corner of Kitchener St), CBD
Parking for bikes is limited right outside at the moment (the crew at Scarecrow are working on it!) – nearest bike parking is in Lorne St or outside the Art Gallery.

RSVP Please confirm attendance with Kirsten, to be sure of coffee and treats.

  1. Thanks very much team for putting this on – I snuck in a bit late, at 7:30, but still had time to snack on the goodies and meet some cool people. That location was super handy too. Looking forward to seeing everyone again (plus many more) at Mercury Plaza tonight!
