Background
Te Ara Puuriri starts at the top of one of the Pukekohe 5 Summits established by Pukekohe Tramping Club as part of their 50th celebrations. Franklin Active Trails and Whakaupoko Landcare have built on this initiative. A forgotten weedy and pesty woolly nightshade forest has been converted into a puriri forest with fun walking and cycle trails, offering a circuit connection with the Pukekohe 5 Summits and a link to the 6th summit of Puni Reserve.
Come and check it out.
