If elected to represent Henderson-Massey Local Board, I, Brooke Loader, pledge:
I believe people of all ages should feel able to bike safely to get around. Auckland needs more climate-friendly transport to ensure a sustainable and resilient Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, protecting our environment and communities for future generations. If elected, I commit to making a safe, connected cycle network a priority.
Comments
As an elected member and an avid e-bike commuter, I have consistently supported the kaupapa of Bike Auckland. In my first term we adopted the Henderson-Massey Connections Plan, and have continued to make progress on this. I have worked with Bike Auckland to advocate for and deliver exciting new cycleways including the Tui Glen Shared Path (including lighting), and the lighting of the cycleway between Central Park Drive and the North West Shared Path. I look forward to supporting the creation of the Hobsonville Road Cycleway to better connect Hobsonville to the North West Shared Path. I pledge to continue advocating for a more Bikeable Auckland in the next term.
