As you know, Auckland Transport is consulting on four new safe bike routes from the city to and through Grey Lynn. Even if that’s not where you live, it’s exciting and worth supporting. Why? Because a more bikeable city starts with  creating bikeable neighbourhoods and joining them together.  The bike lanes you support today will, sooner or later, come to where you are – and we all want them to be the best they can be.

Feedback closes Friday 21 October. Naturally, we’ll be making detailed submissions and blogging about the essentials of each route (see Great North Rd and Richmond Rd for starters).

But what if you’ve only got a wee minute, and just want to support these neighbourhood bike lanes in principle? Good news – you can still make a huge difference, thanks to this quick-submit form created by our lovely friends at Generation Zero.

The quick-submit form gets straight to the point: we support safer space for cycling. And it sends your message straight to Auckland Transport. No fuss, no drama, no worries.

Every voice counts, so grab a minute to add your support (and if you have time, add a personal comment, too). Here’s the link again. Thank you!

PS Keen to give more detailed feedback on one or more of the routes? You can absolutely head to the AT project page to pore over the plans and get into the nitty-gritty via the feedback form. Especially if you have strong local knowledge and/or geek out about infrastructure details the way we do.

But Friday will roll around very quickly, so we especially recommend using the quick-submit option now to make sure you don’t miss the chance to add your voice and say YES!
