Matariki Night Ride

Bike Avondale invites you to celebrate the start of the Māori new year, the Matariki stars in view, blinging bikes and hot wheels, sharing kai and korero….and cycling.
Join us for this free community event which includes activities and hot chocolate onsite
4pm: Community Dinner
* BYO plate and your spoon
4.45pm: Waiata from Avondale Primary School
5.00pm: Matariki Night Ride
* BYO wheels. Light ’em up peeps 🙂
** Ride through our special night-time bike course, fairy-lit including art installations by Term 2 Avondale Primary School art classes
Please note this is a ZERO WASTE event. Please try to bling using reusable products – glow in the dark paint and rechargeable and solar powered fairy lights. Repurpose as much as you can in light of Avondale Primary School’s kaitiakitanga kaupapa this term (and beyond).
