How to Get Your School into Bike Trains: A Bike Auckland Community Workshop

Sunday April 13 @ 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

What’s all the buzz about bike trains, the global cycling craze taking communities by storm? Come learn about bike trains that are already happening throughout Tāmaki Makaurau from two established organisers – Emma McInnes, coordinator of the Waterview Primary School bike train and Dominic Ross, who has established successful bike trains for seven local schools. We’ll workshop some ideas to get the skills and the knowledge you need to get bike trains into your school!

Emma McInnes is the coordinator of the Waterview Primary School Bike Train. She has a background in Urban Design and climate change advocacy, and is a local Waterview Bike māmā.

Dominic Ross is a passionate community activator in Puketāpapa/ Mt Roskill, having established successful bike trains for seven local schools. In 2024, Dom contributed to revitalizing the Mt Roskill bike community through the bike train initiative, in addition to organising regular community bike events.

This event is part of the Albert-Eden & Puketāpapa Eco Festival!
