How to Create & Run Bike Events: A Bike Auckland Community Workshop

Saturday February 15 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Bike Auckland is excited to bring you a workshop to help create cycling events, build community and spread the love of bikes at the same time! Cycling events are great ways to make new friends, meet other people who love to bike, explore new places and just have fun.

Learn how to run successful bike events for your Bike Burbs through this workshop led by event producer and keen cyclist, Xan Hamilton. A community builder and placemaker, Xan has worked with schools in marginalised communities to create bike trains and cycling events in Portland Oregon, engaging with local government, schools and community groups. After moving to Waiheke, she connected with an amazing tribe of cyclists and joined Cycle Action Waiheke, continuing with events and advocacy on the island, meeting with communities and schools to create a varied palate of cycling events.

A three-hour gathering, there will be time to meet your neighbours and strengthen your own connections, while we brainstorm how to bring people together for cycling events in your Bike Burbs!
