Got to get social for the almost-end of #Biketober 2025?
On Wednesday night, 29th October, we’re opening the huge roller-door to our workshop for a free BBQ and catch up.
This night is an open-invite exploration of our vibrant workshop + growing collection of retro and vintage bicycles, lovingly restored here as part of our ‘Got To Get A Bike’ sustainability initiative.
It’s a nice opportunity for the bike community to gather and meet, chat and get to know one another – offline for a change!
We welcome anyone to attend, in particular those interested in viewing our growing collection of restored (mostly 80s and 90s) bikes.

530pm roller-doors open, BBQ on,
615pm-ish eating
630 (or when everyone arrives) Rob says a few words
8pm (or when we kick everyone out) wrap time.

Location:
The location is Got To Get Out Workshop, inside the Wairau Zero Waste Hub. The exact spot is 5/9 Porana Rd. Access is via the driveway next to Pak N Save.

Catering:
Please enjoy a meaty or veggie sausage in bread on us, just BYO something to drink. Gluten free bread available.

What to bring?
- Bringing your own bikes to show off is welcome and encouraged!
- If you have bikes or parts to get rid of, this is a great time to drop them off for re-use by us. Tires, seats, grips, all very useful for example, thanks
- We’re displaying old cycling jerseys, and welcome donations of older clothing and riding helmets etc
