Mark your calendar for Saturday 16 August, as Your Big Backyard returns to transform Wynyard Quarter into a playful, energetic celebration of all things local, active and fun. From 10AM to 2PM, enjoy a free, whānau-friendly day by the water packed with exciting activities for all ages.

Try your hand at skateboarding or rollerblading, watch circus performances and giant bubbles float through the air, or jump aboard a free Red Boats ferry ride around the harbour.

Relax to the sounds of live music, explore classic yachts, and don’t miss a special activation all about Te Ara Tukutuku, the future green heart of Wynyard Point.

It’s the perfect winter’s day out – rain or shine! We encourage you to walk, bike, or catch public transport in, and bring your whānau for an unforgettable day on the waterfront.
