Avondale Christmas Parade

The final is a series of Open Streets events – closing main streets to cars and opening them to people – Avondale’s first Christmas Parade takes place on Saturday, 25 November 2023 from 11am to 2pm – just three short hours to soak in the fun – makete, kai, music from local artists and DJs and of course, the parade – showcasing the best of AD – with our theme, “All Things Bright & Beautiful.”
Avondale sits at the end of several cool bike paths and a Bike Valet will greet you so you can mill around and enjoy the fun.
Parade floats will leave from the Racecourse at 11am sharp, travel up Elm St to Rosebank Road, and to Great North Road where participants will join in the fun on the main street below Avondale Primary School. Come cheer them on!
