All about the Awa

Sunday October 25 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Free

Take a ride along some of the West’s Waterways and learn some of the history, culture and how we can all be flood resilient whilst living next to the awa.
Starting from Ecomatters Bike Hub Henderson -where there will be time to learn about the Hub’s work we will explore Te Wai O Pareira (Henderson Creek), before heading to the new Te Whau Pathway to take in views of the Whau River.
Along the way we will be stopping to learn at places of significance and uncovering some of the fascinating stories around the awa and how it has changed over time.
At Te Whau Pathway there will be an opportunity to grab a coffee or icecream before heading back to our start point.
