A Back to School Biking Bee Adventure

March 9, 2019 @ 9:30 am - 2:00 pm

Free

NEW DATE: Join us on our first Back to School Biking Bee Adventure in Albert–Eden on Saturday the 9th of March, 9.30am – 2.00pm.
Hop on your bikes and come with us to explore our city together from a bee’s-eye perspective. On this adventure we will be learning as we go and getting our hands dirty, we will contribute to each site leaving them more bee-friendly than we found them.
This is a family-friendly event, and activities on this ride are specifically tailored to help kids interact with their environment and learn about how they can help make real change. Planned activities include chicken feeding, mural painting, a beehive inspection and much more.
We’ll start at Alberton and have a pleasant ride to Pt Chevalier, with mini working bees along the way at Alberton, Sanctuary Mahi Whenua (in the grounds of Unitec) and the Dignan St Community Garden, finishing with a swim at Pt Chevalier Beach.
This a free event – but places are limited. Please register through EventBrite if you would like to join us!
This event is brought to you by Out and About, Bike Auckland and For The Love Of Bees. For more information, and any questions, see the Facebook event page.
