A safe passage between Glen Innes and Stonefields is here! This two-way cycleway, created as part of Links to Glen Innes Cycleways, provides a safe connection for people to cycle to work, study, shops, and to sports games with Colin Maiden Park and the Netball Centre right alongside it. 

While the cycleway itself is complete and ready to ride, the Merton Road roundabout crossings are yet to be upgraded for safety. The Ōrākei Local Board did not support providing safe raised crossings at the roundabout. The roundabout’s crossings will be a little improved for safety, but they will still be a barrier in the way of kids and commuters being able to access the cycleway for their trips.
