Come one, come all to Bike Auckland’s May meeting

Bike Auckland

This month’s meeting is an update and overview on current big projects! Everyone’s welcome – please just let us know you’re coming, so we can put out enough chairs.

WHEN: Thursday 26th, 6– 8pm
WHERE: Pioneer Women’s Centre, Ground Floor, Freyberg Square, off High St

We have 3 great speakers for half an hour each, including time for Q & A:
• Ken Lee Jones, AT’s project manager for Ngapipi Rd/Tamaki Drive, will talk about the plans for the traffic lights at this notorious intersection, and related cycling safety improvements.
• Steve Southall, our man on the North Shore, tells us the story behind why we supported the inland SeaPath route, plus other projects happening on the Shore.
• Max Robitzsch, our infrastructure liaison, gives us the lowdown on his preferred design for K Rd, and an update on other Urban Cycleway projects.

At 7.30 we move into committee for technical Bike Auckland business, approving accounts, membership, etc… which is perfect timing, so you can all head on up to the Big Bike Film Night at the Academy Cinema.

NB There’s a new austerity regime – as of last month, alas no nibbles and drink before meetings, so please come pre-fuelled. Still keen? Please RSVP ASAP to barbcuth@gmail.com
