Two of Auckland’s staunchest bike burb groups are launching into summer with local festivities on the same day. We love their get up and go!
Out west, Bike Te Atatu is running a Biketastic event as part of the Te Atatu Spring Festival, from 10-2 at the community centre on the peninsula. Featuring:
- bike repair with Flying Fix
- a heritage bike display by Shane the Bicycle Chap
- e-bike test rides thanks to Velocity Bikes
- bike decorating
- local bike info
They’ll also be collecting donated bikes to pass on to the EcoMatters Bike Hub for fixing up and rehoming.
And, weather depending, there’s a slow roll group ride at 2pm.
