Recap from the Cycle Carnival

Bike Auckland

A small recap from the Cycle Carnival last Sunday from our committee member Jena:

I just wanted to give a big shout out to the whole AT team & the amazing Debbie Lang for the Cycle Carnival today.

The wharf was abuzz and I think it is an event that is only going to grow. We were delighted to see each and every bike park around Queen’s Wharf was being used today!

I had a fantastic time highlighting family cycling with AT North’s School Program and Cycle West. Other AT staff were in the green screen photo booth working a little VFX/BMX magic and making even bike helmet fittings cool!

Also big props for one of our local helpers and her son who scooted around to make sure all the volunteers were sunscreened and hydrated. Tumeke, Auckland Bike Polo, Bigfoot, the Refuge Program all came out. The day ran seamlessly and shone a heap of sunlight down on all the great things happening for cycling in Auckland.
