SUMMARY:Kidical Mass FREE family bike ride
DESCRIPTION:Gather your whānau and get ready for Kidical Mass – FREE! \nKidical Mass is a group bike ride for tamariki and whānau from Queen’s Wharf to Silo Park\, ending in a BYO group picnic. \nWe’ll gather next to the fancy new Bike Hub on Queen’s Wharf before winding our way along the waterfront\, taking in the sights and sounds of the sea as we go. When we get to Silo Park we’ll park up and pull out the picnic blankets for a BYO picnic. At Silo Park there will be valet bike parking thanks to Bike Auckland\, who will keep a keen eye on your ride while you picnic. \nFollowing similar rides overseas\, Kidical Mass is a fun morning designed to get families out and about in numbers and to promote riding a bike as a climate-positive transport choice amongst families and young people. A Tern\, a Brompton\, a Dahon\, a BMX or just your Mum’s old Raleigh Twenty – then this is the event for you! \nWe will meet at the bike hub at Queens Wharf\, Quay Street and cycle down Tāmaki Drive to Kelly Tarlton’s Undersea Kingdom and back. This is approximately an 11km return trip. BYO snacks and drinks. \nIf you haven’t got an iti bike\, don’t worry\, you can still come along. Tricycles welcome too!

SUMMARY:Rainbow Riders Coffee Catch Up - and truck blindzone demonstration
DESCRIPTION:We have our monthly coffee-catch up at the Ecomatters Bike Hub on Queens Wharf on Saturday the 11th at 10.30am – there will be a truck parked there\, and we will be getting an overview of being safe around trucks and buses. You will get the opportunity to climb into the drivers seat. \nI encourage you to attend this coffee-catch up/workshop! Afterwards we can adjourn to North Wharf to find some coffee and pastries.\n\nQueens Wharf is directly off the Quay St cycleway\, which is accessible from either the Nelson St Cycleway or the Grafton Gully cycleway.\n\nTRAINS: Saturday 11 June to Sunday 12 June 2022\n\n\nSouthern Line – buses will replace trains between Britomart and Otahuhu\n\n\nTimetables under review and will be released soon.\n\n\nOnehunga Line – buses will replace trains between Britomart and Onehunga
