DESCRIPTION:Bike theft is on the rise in NZ\, and Bike Auckland have partnered up with 529 Garage to put a stop to it.\nhttps://project529.com/…/organizat…/bikeauckland/landing\n529 Garage is the world’s largest community-powered bike recovery service.\nRegister your bike today to protect it and increase the chances of finding it if the worst happens.\nIt’s free to use and your personal data is safe.\nBike Te Atatū and Bike Henderson will be at McCormick Green\, beside the northwestern cycleway (just west of the Te Atatū Road underpass!) on Saturday morning from 10am to noon.\nWe’ll help you register your bikes\, and give you a free shield for each bike\, to mark it as part of the anti-theft scheme.\nWe’ll also have free bike locks\, which we’ll swap for your not-so-theft-resistant cable locks.\nAnd if you get there early we’ll still have some ice blocks!
