DESCRIPTION:What is the vision for Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland’s Transport Future? Come and hear directly from our key mayoral candidates. \nEventbrite link \n\n\nAbout this event\n\n\n\nIf you have been following the news recently you would have heard that scientists are reporting that climate change isn’t just here already\, it’s happening faster than we thought.’ And we know that 43% of gas emissions in Tāmaki Makaurau are from transport and 70% of that comes from driving cars. \nThe biggest action that our soon to be elected mayor can take is in how they organise and invest in infrastructure for active modes of transport. Done right\, this will greatly reduce our carbon emissions. \nSo come along to the Bike Champions Forum to discuss the future of transport in Tāmaki Makaurau and put your burning questions to the key mayoral electoral candidates. And share this event far and wide and bring along that person you know that is on the fence about the role transport is going to play in our climate future. \nDetails: \nWhen: 30 August 2022.
