Ten good reasons to cycle. All of them a bit tongue-in-cheek, and all with a lot of truth.

10 – Your wallet stays fat(ter) – unless of course you fall for the enticements of the carbon-fibre path.

09 – You belly gets slimmer. Or your share of the cake gets bigger, and your belly stays the same. Win-Win!

08 – Endorphins – they come free with every hill. Okay, sometimes they lag a bit behind.

07 – No guilt – while we don’t recommend showing this off too much, it’s still good for a warm self-righteous inner glow…

06 – All the cool kids are doing it – be ahead of the curve. Bicycles are retro, bicycles are the future.

05 – It’s faster – during an Auckland traffic jam, for anything short of a trip to Pukekohe.
