SkyPath 01Great news for the amazing SkyPath project. This is a communication on the new Heads of Agreement (HoA) that was signed by the Auckland Council with Auckland Harbour Bridge Pathway Trust and Public Infrastructure Partners (PIP) Fund.

The SkyPath team (actually the Auckland Harbour Bridge Pathway Trust) now has a non-binding Heads of Agreement with Auckland Council and a private investor, the PIP Fund, which paves the way for future steps (including entering into negotiations) toward a final deal for the funding and delivery of SkyPath.

The HoA sets out how Council, the Trust and the PIP Fund will progress feasibility work to assess the project’s viability, including feasibility, community engagement and delivery options which need to be completed before Council can make a final decision on the project.

And the SkyPath team is also close to lodging a Resource Consent application for SkyPath. The PIP Fund, working with the Trust, will lodge a resource consent application in early June, which will be a fully publicly notified process.
