We’re getting excited about Open Streets this coming Sunday. Have you rounded up your gang for the Bike Gang Challenge? Remember there’s a $500 prize pool for the biggest gang, and we’ll also be giving out category prizes for all sorts of other things, like oldest member, youngest member, best dressed team (uniform or costume), most original custom bike, lightest adult bike, person who’s come the farthest to get to Open Streets.

If your gang’s on Facebook, link up with our event page to add to the anticipation. We’ll be confirming the categories and the prizes across the next few days, so keep an eye on the Facebook page. We might even make some up on the day, once we see how creative you are.

Remember, you can bowl up any time between 10 and 3 to register your gang for the big prize and category prizes. No gang too small: every member gets a gift simply for participating!

AND! Whether or not you’re arriving in a bike gang, be sure to swing by Cycle Action’s bike photo booth to immortalise you and your bike.

What’s a bike photo booth? Check out this photo booth from NYC’s TransAlt party a few years back, these great pics from 8bar Bikes, and more below. We’ll have a green screen and some fun backdrops, so you’ll get a great souvenir snap of you and your bike.

The photo booth will be part of Cycle Action’s hang-out space, and is open to everyone. No need to BYO Bike, even: we’ll have a range of bikes to pose with if you’re getting about on two feet (or skates or scooter or whatever).

So come and visit us on Sunday at Open Streets!!
