North Shore Eco-Festival – March 2013

Bike Auckland

Guest post by Louisa Chase

(EcoFestival (North) Manager)

For the whole month of March, we plan to have the Shore buzzing with exciting and inpiring events which celebrate sustainability in all its forms.

The event is being organised by the Kaipatiki Project Environment Centre, and supported by Auckland Council. The aim of the festival is to inspire the communities of the North Shore to live more sustainably, to provide information and contacts for them, and to showcase all the great things that are already happening on the Shore. The programme will consist of talks, workshops, walks, open-days and displays at many different locations around the Shore.

There are many ways that businesses and community organisations can become involved. They can either run an event, or can be involved in a supporting role, for example by offering to help advertise the event, by being a sponsor (either a main cash sponsor with acknowledgement and their logo on publicity material; or by donating products which can be used as prizes and giveaways), or by offering services in kind, such as printing.

If you already have any events planned for March, or would like to plan one, you can contact us for a registration form and get your event listed in the programme for free.  The programme will be advertised widely through local press, social media, and local community advertising. It would be great if as many people as possible could spread the word!

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, like a registration form, or would like to chat further about the festival.
