Fiáin d’Leafy has resigned from their role as Chief Biking Officer of Bike Auckland. Their last day will be 21 October.
Fiáin has made a huge contribution to the movement and the organisation. Everyone here at Bike Auckland will miss their dedication, energy and the culture of care they have fostered.
Fiáin was appointed Chief Biking Officer in September 2022. Prior to that, they grew the Bike Burbs programme as Bike Auckland’s Community Activation Manager, a role they held for two years. Under their leadership, Bike Auckland has seen sustained growth across its programmes, including Bike Valet, Bike Burbs, stakeholder and government relations and fundraising. They have led campaigns including Liberate the Lane, Inclusive Cycling, and Biketober, creating considerable impact for the movement.
Bike Auckland is making plans to formally recognise Fiáin’s contribution on a suitable date.
They leave Bike Auckland in a strong position as the organisation heads into the next chapter.
We will take the next few weeks to look at the skills we need going into the upcoming period. Enquiries during this period can be directed to the Chair of Bike Auckland, Karen Hormann on karen.hormann@bikeauckland.org.nz, or to the crew via info@bikeauckland.org.nz.
Thanks for your continued support for Bike Auckland.
