Hobsonville Point Sculpture Trail ramble – 6 December

Jolisa

Take some time out from Christmas prep to breathe the fresh air and explore Hobsonville Point’s new sculpture trail on a quiet Sunday morning. Alas, no weekend ferries… but there’s plenty of parking near the fabulous waterfront farmers’ market (open Sat/Sun 9-1) and the Catalina Cafe (open 7 days, 7-4).

Organised by the Hobsonville Point Land Company and Auckland Transport, the tour is free, but registration is essential.

Full details and the link to RSVP here. This is the gist:

Sunday, 6 December 2015 from 9:30 AM to 1:45 PM (NZDT)

Hobsonville Point has commissioned a series of stunning sculptures for the public to enjoy. This free tour offers the opportunity to view these artworks and meet the artists to hear the stories behind them.

You can choose the walk or ride option, for the 4km (approx) loop on mainly flat land. The tour will be about 3.0-3.5 hours long.

For the Guided Ride option, you may bring your own bike, or use one supplied free of charge (please register to ensure a bike spot). Children must bring their own bike.

Bring some snacks and a drink with you to graze on during the tour.

Meeting Point: Hobsonville Point Park – under the trees by the Catalina Cafe outdoor dining area.
