However you feel about kids bailing up the neighbours for lollies in bulk (let alone doing it in a southern hemisphere spring evening, rather than the more traditional dark and spooky autumn night!), everything is more fun on a bike, including dressing up and staying out ever so slightly past bedtime.
So it’s great to see a bunch of cool neighbourhood Halloween events for kids-on-bikes popping up, with Auckland Transport swooping in to make it happen.
There are rides in Mangere and Bayswater on Friday evening, and Henderson, Pakuranga and Sunnynook on Halloween Saturday itself.
These are FREE, family-friendly events, with lots of fun with treats, spot prizes and treasure hunts.
