Group Ride – Whenuapai/ Herald Island, Saturday 16 May

Is there anything finer than an autumn ride? Lots of groups of all ages and abilities spotted out and about over the weekend. Here’s something from Suzette via Facebook, for out west next weekend:

On Saturday 16th May, a group of like-minded cyclists will be doing a casual push bike ride around Whenuapai Village/Herald Island. Approx. distance will be 20kms, with the option to do more/less as fitness dictates.

If anyone is interested in a casual and fun push bike ride, come and join us.

Start Time 9am at Lombardi’s Cafe on Brigham Creek Rd in the Whenuapai Village Shops. Plenty of parking across the road! Contact Sue Denham 021 0367234 if anyone has any queries.

We plan to meet some Saturday and some Thursday mornings, and plan to alternate our rides to take in gorgeous Devonport, Orewa, Silverdale, once a month. We will also enjoy various cycle trails around our lovely country. All welcome.

We’d love to hear about your group rides and events and can help spread the word – let us know if you’re planning something!
