DESCRIPTION:Bike Rave is back for 2024!\nBling out your bike\, bring your lights\, and light up the night!\nWe will gather at Artworks Courtyard from 5.30pm\, and at 6:30pm ride as a group through Oneroa and Blackpool\, around the Esplanade\, and arrive at Surfdale Hall for a night of music\, lights and dancing!\nFeaturing DJ Jeanne and The Onternet\, this is a night not to miss!\nThere will be food available to buy at Surfdale Hall.\nAll bikes and riders are welcome\, but you need to be confident cycling on the road and children must be supervised by an adult. You are responsible for your own safety – helmets and lights are mandatory. This is an alcohol-free event.\nWe will be posting more information about the ride playlist in the coming weeks so keep an eye on our socials and bring your bluetooth speakers if you have them

DESCRIPTION:Join us whānau for a bike ride to our community food forest Tā Tātou Māra Kai! \nWe’ll depart the Bike Hub (Wesley Community Centre\, 740 Sandringham Rd) at 10am and we’ll ride along Te Auaunga/ Oakley Creek through War Memorial Park and Keith Hay Park to Molley Green Reserve. \nKai will be provided to share a picnic together\, we’ll take a tour of the garden and they’ll be fun kids activities. \nBoth pedal powered and e-bikes are welcome! \nNo problem if you won’t be joining us for the ride\, come join us at the garden from 10.30am onwards. \nBike mechanics will be on site at Bike Hub Mt Roskill at the Wesley Community Centre\, 740 Sandringham Rd on Saturday 13th of April 9am – 1pm if your bike needs a tune-up before the ride. \nWe have a handful of bikes to loan. Google says it will take 30minutes to ride– We will have breaks at top of hills and wait for everyone to be ready before continuing– Kids are welcome\, keep an eye on them at the crossings– We will ring our bells to say hello to any pedestrians and give them lots of space when we pass\nWe can ride back together after the film too – or take the train

DESCRIPTION:Bike Auckland is hosting our first ever ‘Love your Path’ (cycleway and shared path maintenance\, weeding\, rubbish clean up etc) event as a way for new and existing volunteers to get involved\, to know Bike Auckland\, as well as showing some love for the paths that we all love so much! \nWe hope that from this inaugural event we can roll similar events out across Tamaki Makaurau to allow us to connect with volunteers at in person events and love our paths at the same time…win – win! \nSaturday 9 June\n9.45am for a 10:00am start\nMeet at the Sunhill Carpark for a briefing. We’ll be doing maintenance for 2 hours along the Te Ara Ki Uta Ki Tai (Glen Innes to Tāmaki Drive) path. Expect things like: \n\nPicking up rubbish and other waste\nClearing overgrown plants to make sure the path is clear\nRemoving invasive weeds!\nRemoving green waste\n\nBYO tools. We’ll bring the bags for disposing of materials and gloves. \nJoin us for coffee at the end of the clean-up and find out how to support Bike Auckland’s mahi! \nNo registration required.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a glowtastic night cycle on the (second) longest night of the year! \nBling out your bike\, bring your lights\, and light up the night! \n4pm – Gather at the Bike Hub with your bike for face painting\, a free veggie sausage sizzle and bike lights to give away. \n5.30pm – We’ll ride together through Walmsley Park cycleway and discover pop-up storytelling and performances. \n6.30pm – Ride back to the Bike Hub.
