DESCRIPTION:Please note only 100 Riders Only.\nBust out the fairy lights\, strap some speakers to your bike\, dress up in your wildest costume and join us for the most fun you can have on two wheels.\nThe Ōtara Bike Rave starts with a party at the Ōtara Bike Burb located in the Ōtara Town Centre. There’ll be a chance for you to show off your bike-creation\, and have a wiggle to a DJ before we head off on a 4.5km sunset cruise\, surprising and delighting the public as we go.\nThe ride takes us down lovegrove passing through our new beautiful bridge by the Otara waterways. We then follow the path making our way onto Hills Rd towards Johnstone Rd\, then back onto the waterways path towards Ngati Otara. We will then head back down Otara road making our way back to The Ōtara Bike Burb. Here we’ll park up and party to the sounds of our resident DJ. DESCRIPTION:The last 529Garage pop-up we did was a great success – over 75 people registered! So we are going to do it again on Easter Saturday at the same place! \nThe Rainbow Riders will register your bike to 529 Garage\, and give you a 529 shield. We’ll also have Rainbow Riders stickers \nFrom 10am to 1pm we will be by the Waterfront Container Library as you head towards the Wynyard Crossing walking and riding bridge from Quay street.\n\n529 Garage is a bike registration system which is free to use\, and helps to get bikes that are stolen back to their owners. Widespread 529 Garage use has the power to make bike theft inconvenient and unprofitable\, dampening the stolen bike market.\nIn Vancouver 529 Garage has been very successful\, with a 20% year on year decrease in bike theft once it was launched.\n\nPlease wear a mask. A QR code will be available for contact tracing.\n\nLet us know if you’d like to help us register bikes!

DESCRIPTION:Find out how we can advocate more effectively for safety for people on bikes on social media and other communication channels. \nTom Flood worked in advertising for many years in Toronto developing brand work on a variety of clients including work on large auto accounts and has most recently been developing creative\, content and strategy through Rovélo Creative (creativebyrovelo.com). He has also been giving talks on communications specifically around strategies to help craft effective messaging. \nTom is a cyclist and great advocate for road safety and people on bikes on social twitter @tomflood1. His message also focuses on children rights for road safety and bike to school.  \nHe currently lives in Hamilton\, Ontario\, Canada with his partner and two kids. \nCome join us to find out how we can advocate more effectively for safety for people on bikes on social media and other communication channels.

DESCRIPTION:Getting between Auckland’s Eastern suburbs and the city on foot or wheels is about to get that much easier\, with Section 2 of the Glen Innes to Tāmaki Drive Shared Path between St Johns Road and Ōrākei Basin almost open to the community!\n\n\n\nCome along on Wednesday 25 May between 9am–10:30am to be among the first to explore the 2.65km section of shared path on foot or wheels\, and stop off at Tahapa Reserve East for a coffee on Waka Kōtahi to celebrate.\n\n\n\nThe path will be open for guests on foot and bikes to access the event location at Tahapa Reserve East.\n\n\nMore access details are available at https://www.nzta.govt.nz/gi2t\n\n\nAdditional information: You can access the path from either end at St Johns Road or Purewa Road (next to Meadowbank Train Station). You can also use any of the local connections at John Rymer Place\, Tahapa Crescent\, Mamaku Street or Harapaki Road.\n\n\n\nBike Auckland will be providing secure bike parking with our Bike Valet at Tahapa Reserve East.

DESCRIPTION:Build your cycling confidence\, ride further\, socialise with other bike-minded people\, get to know our neighbourhood\, and get safely where you want to go! This group ride will be through parks and quiet streets to build your confidence. It is 8Km long and family friendly. \nTamariki (children) are welcome. They can be onboard the adults bike\, or competent on their own bike\, accompanied by an adult. \nMeet at the Grey Lynn Community Centre at 9.30am\, 510 Richmond road. \nFree Coffee (bring your keep cup)\, and a map of the ride to take home. DESCRIPTION:Join us for a glowtastic night ride around the town brought to you by Cycle Action Waiheke and Auckland Transport.\nBedazzle your bike\, dress in your wildest outfit\, blast some party tunes and be ready for some peddle power!\n\nWe invite you to bust out the UV clothing\, pimp your ride with LEDs\, strap some speakers to your bike\, and experience the energy of Waihekes cycle community at its best. This is an all ages event\, so bring the whole gang with you but parents must be responsible for their children…which means super cool helmets and lights!\n\nJoin us for a pre-party at the Bikebox from 5pm with free BBQ kai and face painting. We’ll set off at 6pm on a 7km ride around Oneroa\, down to Owhanake and back up to finish off at Blackpool Hall where DJ CHIKAA will be busting some tunes for us to boogie to.\n\nInspire your mates to pull their bikes out of the garage\, bring them to a BikeBiox workshop for a free tune up and rummage in the cupboard for your wildest outfit…this is an event not to be missed!
