SUMMARY:529 Registration Station - Wynyard Quarter\, CBD
DESCRIPTION:The Rainbow Riders will register your bike to 529 Garage\, and give you a 529 shield. We’ll also have Rainbow Riders stickers and free iceblocks \nFrom 10am to 1pm we will be by the Waterfront Container Library (Quay st side of the Wynyard Crossing walking and riding bridge)\n529 Garage is a free bike registration system which helps to get bikes that are stolen back to their owners. Widespread 529 Garage use has the power to make bike theft inconvenient and unprofitable\, dampening the stolen bike market.\nIn Vancouver 529 Garage has been very successful\, with a 20% year on year decrease in bike theft once it was launched.\nPlease wear a mask. A QR code will be available for contact tracing.\nLet us know if you’d like to help us register bikes!

SUMMARY:529 Registration Station - Māngere Bridge!
DESCRIPTION:Kia ora tātou\, please see below details of our first Bike Māngere Bridge event for 2022. Come along for a family-friendly day out at Ambury Farm!\nSunday 3rd April\, 10am – 12pm\, ‘The Barn’ at Ambury Farm\nThe day will have a couple of things going on…\nWe are partnering with 529 Garage to help people register their bike with their system. Registration is a way of keeping our bikes safer\, and making it easier for people to recover their bikes if they get stolen. On the day we can help with the registration process and attach 529 Garage stickers (or “shields”) to your bike. More details about 529 Garage to follow in the coming days.\nWe will give you directions so that you can go and explore the bike paths out the back of Ambury Farm.\nFurther events and activities to be confirmed!\nA note on COVID:\nWe know that the virus is in our community\, and many people feel understandably cautious about going to events. We will take the following steps to minimise risk:\n1. We will be outdoors at all times\n2. The event will run on a drop-in when you can model\, and it is unlikely that there will be many people gathered at any one time\n3. Contact with others will be minimal – really just having someone attach a 529 sticker to your bike and (if needed) help you with a registration process.\n4. If people don’t want to be close to others\, we can just give you a wave and point you in the direction of the bike paths

SUMMARY:529 Garage CBD pop up - #endbiketheft with Rainbow Riders
DESCRIPTION:The last 529Garage pop-up we did was a great success – over 75 people registered! So we are going to do it again on Easter Saturday at the same place! \nThe Rainbow Riders will register your bike to 529 Garage\, and give you a 529 shield. We’ll also have Rainbow Riders stickers \nFrom 10am to 1pm we will be by the Waterfront Container Library as you head towards the Wynyard Crossing walking and riding bridge from Quay street.\n\n529 Garage is a bike registration system which is free to use\, and helps to get bikes that are stolen back to their owners. Widespread 529 Garage use has the power to make bike theft inconvenient and unprofitable\, dampening the stolen bike market.\nIn Vancouver 529 Garage has been very successful\, with a 20% year on year decrease in bike theft once it was launched.\n\nPlease wear a mask. A QR code will be available for contact tracing.\n\nLet us know if you’d like to help us register bikes!
