Karanga-a-Hape Station perimeter tour

Wednesday October 29 @ 5:00 pm - 6:00 pm
|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until October 29, 2025

To mark Biketober, Link Alliance are inviting members of the bike community to join a special perimeter tour of Karanga-a-Hape Station, one of the new City Rail Link stations designed to be friendly for both rail and bike users.

These tours give you the chance to see what’s happening and understand how our work is progressing.

All tours begin outside the Northern Line Pub at 4 Beresford Square, just around the corner from Karangahape Road and Pitt Street. This tour will start at 5pm and take approximately one hour. Please arrive five minutes before the start time.

These tours will not enter the construction site, so no special clothing is required – but please wear closed, flat footwear and sun protection. Tours will be cancelled if weather conditions are unfavourable (please keep an eye on your email).

The City Rail Link is cycle-friendly – you can take your bike on the train, and each new station includes dedicated bike racks near its entrances. Unfortunately, Karanga-a-Hape Station’s bike racks are currently inside an active worksite and not yet available. In the meantime, please see the bike-parking map for nearby racks (Pitt St rack not available).

Tour dates are below. Please email simon.mitchell@linkalliance.co.nz to book.

  • Wednesday 15 October, 5-6pm
  • Wednesday 22 October, 5-6pm
  • Wednesday 29 October, 5-6pm
