DESCRIPTION:Join us for a whānau friendly cycle to the beach!\nMeet us at Bike Hub Queen’s Wharf with your beach gear and your bike! \n*****\nThis is an ideal ride for people who want to build their cycling confidence in a fun\, social setting. All bodies and all bikes are welcome. \nFrom 10.00am\, join us at Bike Hub Queen’s Wharf. The hub will be open for bike checks and second hand bike sales. \nOur beginner-friendly group ride will begin with a casual meander up Queen Street. We will be riding on a mixture of shared pathways\, quiet streets\, and protected cycleways\, including the new Great North Road cycleway and a half-way stop at Grey Lynn Park pump track. You can see the route here. \nWe will be cycling at a social\, easy pace. The 10km route includes some hilly sections. We will have rest stops at the top of the hills\, making sure everyone is ready to go before we set off again. \nOnce we arrive at the beach we’ll park up with the free secure bike valet parking so we can enjoy our beach time worry-free. You are welcome to split off and do your own thing once we arrive.
