SUMMARY:Creative Crochet Meet up - Mt Eden - Yarn for Pride
DESCRIPTION:Bring your crochet\, bring your knitting\, bring another creative project\, bring a mask\, bring yourself – let’s have a socially distanced meet up at the top of Maungawhau / Mt Eden before heading over to Bikes and Beers together!\nYou can make decorations for the bike parking on K-rd\, ready to be used for Pride Month’s yarn bombing (Yarn for Pride)\, or you can focus on your own projects. If you’d like to learn crochet\, we can teach each other. Beginners are welcome \nThere will be spare yarn and extra crochet hooks available courtesy of Creative Communities Scheme Funding. Thanks CCS!\nYou can challenge yourself to cycle up the hill – or not! I’ll be walking up!\nWe’ll then ride together to the Mt Eden Brothers Brewery at 5pm \nWet weather venue: Brother’s Brewery & Juke Joint\, Mt Eden\n\nIf you have mobility challenges and can’t walk or cycle up\, you can call 09 379 1340 to request the access code on the day of your visit. We’d love for you to join us.\n\nCan’t make it to the meet up? You can still get involved and make some yarnbombs to decorate the bike parking!\n– knit or crochet a colourful scarf of 5.5 inches by 103 inches and drop it to the Karangahape Business Association for collection or\n– email me at macaila@bikeauckland.org.nz for a yarn drop off 🙂
