DESCRIPTION:Build your cycling confidence\, ride further\, socialise with other bike-minded people\, get to know our neighbourhood\, and get safely where you want to go! This group ride will be mostly on parks\, off road\, to build your confidence. It is 5Km long and family friendly. \nTamariki (children) are welcome. They can be onboard the adults bike\, or competent on their own bike\, accompanied by an adult. \nMeet at the Grey Lynn Community Centre at 9.30am\, 510 Richmond road. \nFree Coffee (bring your keep cup)\, and a map of the ride to take home. DESCRIPTION:Please note only 100 Riders Only.\nBust out the fairy lights\, strap some speakers to your bike\, dress up in your wildest costume and join us for the most fun you can have on two wheels.\nThe Ōtara Bike Rave starts with a party at the Ōtara Bike Burb located in the Ōtara Town Centre. There’ll be a chance for you to show off your bike-creation\, and have a wiggle to a DJ before we head off on a 4.5km sunset cruise\, surprising and delighting the public as we go.\nThe ride takes us down lovegrove passing through our new beautiful bridge by the Otara waterways. We then follow the path making our way onto Hills Rd towards Johnstone Rd\, then back onto the waterways path towards Ngati Otara. We will then head back down Otara road making our way back to The Ōtara Bike Burb. Here we’ll park up and party to the sounds of our resident DJ. It’s also excellent for people new to cycling\, or riding with children on bikes or scooters.\nThe path features tributes to the estuary’s past as a significant food gathering place for Maori.
