There’ll be a chance for you to show off your bike-creation\, and have a wiggle to a DJ before we head off on a 6.5km sunset cruise\, surprising and delighting the public as we go.\nThe ride takes us down the northwestern bike path to Waterview\, where we’ll roll into Eric Armishaw Park in style along a boardwalk over a field of mangroves.\nHere we’ll park up and party next to the water’s edge to the sounds of a DJ using the high-fidelity wizardry of Silent Disco NZ headsets. DESCRIPTION:Please register for this ride through the Meetups website. \nHello\, This is ride 3 of 4 as part of the Auckland Transport Bike Month series where new members get a free coffee! \nThis mostly flat ride is 90% cycle path and starts from Phyllis Reserve. \nWe will use the NW cycle path until the Henderson turn off\, then weave our way all the way to Henderson Valley Road through country landscapes. \nFrom there we use some quiet roads to get the Oratia Stream shared path and reconnect with Henderson Creek path at the West Wave Aquatic Centre. \nWith the option to ride the Oakley Creek Reserve walkway and past the waterfall on the way back. For those who have not ridden this before its concrete but narrow\, windy with steep bits and bumpy in places. It is very scenic as the attached photos in the Meetups event page show. \nWe could have coffee and cake at the Corban Estate cafe or similar on the way through or back. \nAny bike type and fitness level will do.

SUMMARY:Albany Green Space Ride
DESCRIPTION:Come for a tour of Albany’s green spaces with Bike Albany. This ride will aim to explore a few more of the off-road attractions Albany has to offer. This ride is not recommended for road bikes\, but could be attempted if the weather is favourable. The route will take us on a loop through the Albany area\, and can be flexible depending on who comes\, their energy levels and enthusiasm. We will find a cafe somewhere along the line and have lunch.

DESCRIPTION:This is a very popular classic ride through the Karangahake George. \nThe trail is mostly flat on unsealed surface. Not suitable for road bikes. Starting point is at the tourist information in Paeroa. The Karangahake George is the highlight including a 1100m long railway tunnel. In the mining town we will have lunch and there will be the option to check out the MTB trails. On the way back a visit to the Waikino Hotel and Pub is a Must Do. \nWHAT TO BRING: Snacks\, water\, rain jacket\, spare tube and toolkit. \nLEVEL OF FITNESS: This is an easy grade ride \nPlease register through the meetup website.

SUMMARY:Night Ride Woodhill Forest MTB Park
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year again and time to dust off the bike lights\, charge up the batteries and get back into Woodhill Wednesday’s! \nWe will meet up at the tables in front of the shop by 5:20pm\, hit the trails at 5:30pm and ride for around 2 hours – we will decide before we head off what trails we will be doing. \nYou will need decent lights that will run for at least 2 hours and this ride is for anyone that can ride a steady pace for that time… all levels of abilities are welcome. \nLights can be hired from the Park shop for $25/night \nACG operates a no drop policy which means we regroup at trail heads and trail ends to ensure everyone is safe and accounted for \nEntry fee is $15 for a casual ride / $179 for a 6 month pass / $249 for 12 month pass \nIf anyone wants to carpool I suggest you mention it in the comments of the meetup page and see who can help out \nWe may stop in at the Beer Spot in Huapai after the ride for a beer/wine or non-alcoholic drink and they have food trucks for the famished! \nIf you are going to be late please message me to let us know and you can meet us at Map Station 2 at the start of Second Grade at 6pm… I hope to see you out there! \nRegister through the meetup event here. \nAll visitors will be required to sign in on arrival to ensure we are contact tracing.
