DESCRIPTION:Nextbike’s popular E-Bike Guided Rides get people on bikes to help them experience the joy of riding\, whilst also seeing some of the highlights of the 2023 Auckland Climate Festival. Register for this event through the Auckland Climate Festival website. \nE-bikes are perfect for riders who are already comfortable riding a push-bike and provide a great opportunity to learn more about e-bikes. E-bikes are taking the cycling world by storm – they flatten out Auckland’s many hills\, allow the rider to go further and faster\, all whilst being able to arrive at a destination looking and feeling fresh. \nThese rides will start in Kingsland\, a short walk from the train station\, and go around the central city loop\, taking in and showcasing some of Auckland’s best cycling infrastructure\, giving access to many of the locations hosting Auckland Climate Festival Events. Each ride will take three hours\, including time to stop and experience some of the events\, and covers approximately 10kms. \nNextbike New Zealand\, delivers this event on behalf of Auckland Transport\, for the Auckland Climate Festival.

FUN. \nYou are invited to join the Auckland Fancy Women Bike Ride on Sunday\, September 17th!\nBecause women can change the world\, and the bicycle can help.\nFancy Women Bike Ride is an event for women\, organized by women to call for infrastructure and inspiration.\nThe more women who cycle\, the more women will be encouraged to cycle. \nDon’t forgot to use #fwbrakl23 for all your photos! \nThe Route:\nPlease be at “Domain Wintergardens” at 1pm and please don’t be late. \nWe will kick off the ride at 1pm from the stunning Domain Wintergardens. Pedaling over the iconic Grafton Bridge\, we will make our way to the vibrant and eclectic Karangahape Road. We will then capture picture-perfect moments when we cycle along the Lightpath | Te Ara I Whiti. The journey will end at Silo Park where we will have some refreshments. \nA map showing the route will be posted on the event’s page closer to the date. \nGUIDELINES:\n– Dress code: Fancy\, fierce\, fabulous (whatever makes you feel beautiful\, strong and great!)\n– Decorate your bicycle\, pose for the cameras and take selfies\, greet & smile at people during the ride.\n– Be inclusive to all women and support those new to cycling.\n– Bring your friends\, mothers\, aunties and sisters and be prepared for a magical afternoon. \nNo registration required. DESCRIPTION:Did you know you can ride for miles in most directions from Pt Chev\, almost entirely free from traffic? Join us for the first of what we hope will be many local bike adventures\, exploring off-road connected bike paths in our hood and beyond! \nWe’ll gather in the town square outside the library\, then head off\, on an out-and-back ride of ~14km. It’s about half an hour in each direction\, so expect to be on the move for around an hour\, not counting stops to explore. \nOn our return to Pt Chev we’ll hang out at Nomad for a chat. Feel free to stick around! \n• Given the length of this initial ride\, it’s more suitable for adults and teens. Once we’ve tested the concept\, we’re planning future rides more suitable for families with children. (If you do want to ride along this time\, there’s a natural turnaround point that would make for a shorter 5km route.) \n• This ride is entirely off-road and on quiet streets\, with a couple of road crossings. \n• Drop us a line below to let us know you’re coming\, so we can plan ahead.
