We’re also very proud to launch AIR AVONDALE – the most illustrious illustratively illuminated ride you’ll see…perhaps ever.\n\n3pm: School pickup then come over!\n4pm: Community Dinner\n4.30pm:\nPerformances and shared waiata from:\n– Avondale Primary School\n– Te Whānau o Pātiki\, Rosebank School\n– TahiMana Polynesian Fire Warriors\n5.00pm: Matariki Night Ride\n\n** BYO EMPTY plate & spoon (to eat from)\, water bottle and MUG for free hot chocolates post ride.\n** BYO wheels. SUMMARY:Riverhead Gravel Ride
DESCRIPTION:This is a casual\, no-drop ride on the gravel dire roads within the forest. The planned route is about 24Km\, entirely within the forest. \nAny riders on suitable bikes are welcome – the roads a rough in places so not well suited to out-and-out road bikes\, but not so bad that you need a full-suspension mountain bike.\nPace will be determined by the slowest rider in the group\, no one will get left behind. \nThe ride will go ahead\, sunshine or showers\, but may be cancelled or postponed if heavy rain or high winds are forecast. \nRide starts at 9am\, and will take as long as it takes!
