SUMMARY:Bike Breakfast
DESCRIPTION:Bike Auckland’s casual monthly morning catch-up is on the move! \nOn Thursday 4 April\, join us for Bike Breakfast from 7.30am till 9-ish at the lovely Devon on the Wharf in\, you guessed it\, Devonport. (And yes\, it’s on the wharf). \nCome along and enjoy a free coffee while you shoot the breeze with advocates and regular folk about the two-wheeled life in Auckland. \nExpect some local flavour to the chitchat this time. For starters\, bike parking on the wharf – what’s the story? And what local improvements are on the way to make Devonport better for biking and safer on foot? \nAll are welcome at Bike Auckland’s monthly Bike Breakfasts on the first Thursday of every month. You don’t even have to arrive by bike. See you there!

SUMMARY:Adult Drop In Bike Skills Session - Northcote
DESCRIPTION:This is a skills session for people new to riding. There will be separate ‘learn to ride’ instruction for anyone who has never ridden a bike. \nIf you can ride but lack confidence\, our instructors will help with practicing skills such as changing gears\, braking\, bike control\, signalling and more. \nA mechanic will also be there to answer any maintenance questions including how to remove a wheel\, how to adjust brakes and how to best look after a bike. \nThe session is a flexible format where you can take part in cycle skills lessons\, bike maintenance\, or a little of both. Unable to stay for the full time? No sweat\, stay for as little or as long as you like. This is also a good opportunity to come along and ask one of our regional coordinators for more info on riding locally. \nAt 12 noon we will be heading off on a guided ride along the Northcote Safe Routes with those who feel confident enough to leave the grounds on a bike. This will be a great way to put your newfound skills into real world experience. \nSo\, if you are keen to master the art of riding a bike or want to learn to fix a flat… drop in.\nBikes are available on a first-come\, first-served basis. We don’t want you to miss a moment of the fun\, so it is best to be there early. \nNo need to book for these sessions.
