DESCRIPTION:A free bike-powered celebration of movement\, music\, and climate action. \nBike Curious is a joyful\, bike-focused\, all-ages community takeover of Falls Park in Henderson. \nExpect an afternoon and evening packed with live music and DJs\, jaw-dropping BMX shows\, and hands-on\, playful activities for all ages. Share kai at the Bikers Banquet (a community potluck)\, explore an antique and unusual bike display\, take in bike-themed short films\, ride the pump-track\, pedal your way to a bike-powered smoothie\, tune your ride at the Bike Hub\, learn to ride a unicycle\, or give your wheels a glow-up at the “Pimp Your Bike” workshop. \nAs the sun goes down we light up the night with a glow ride through Cranwell Park and the Henderson Creek Path – complete with the renowned Vospertron glowing robots. \nBMX showcases from world-class riders: \n\nJed Mildon – first person in the world to land a quadruple backflip on BMX\nHugh Wotherspoon – Spoonworks legend and backbone of the NZ BMX scene\nRiley Neilson – known for the biggest tricks in NZ BMX\nBrooklyn Williams – #1 dirt rider in Aotearoa\n\nBike and scooter parking will be available at key locations – please bring a lock. \nAt its heart\, Bike Curious is a community climate action event – using fun\, creativity\, and culture to celebrate the joy and practicality of getting around by bike\, scooter\, and on foot\, while imagining a more connected and equitable future. \nBike Curious\nSaturday 14 March\n3:00pm – 8:30pm\nFREE: Tickets via Humanitix \nBring your bike\, bring your friends\, bring a dish – and come get Bike Curious.  \nBike Curious is an activation delivered by Interesting Things and supported by the Auckland Urban Development Office to build momentum for active travel ahead of Henderson’s new Wai Horotiu walking and cycling connection.
