We’re also very proud to launch AIR AVONDALE – the most illustrious illustratively illuminated ride you’ll see…perhaps ever.\n\n3pm: School pickup then come over!\n4pm: Community Dinner\n4.30pm:\nPerformances and shared waiata from:\n– Avondale Primary School\n– Te Whānau o Pātiki\, Rosebank School\n– TahiMana Polynesian Fire Warriors\n5.00pm: Matariki Night Ride\n\n** BYO EMPTY plate & spoon (to eat from)\, water bottle and MUG for free hot chocolates post ride.\n** BYO wheels. DESCRIPTION:Have you always wanted to lead a group bike ride?\nWant to encourage your neighbours in Kingsland to jump on a bike instead of their car?\nOr just want to make Strava art? \nBike Kingsland is having our second meet up to continue to kōrero (discuss) your cool ideas\, how you’d like to operate in the bike burb and get to know others in your local! You don’t need to have all the answers\, but just the will to make it happen and the bike burb members will support you. How we might get bike outcomes for the proposed upgrades on New North Road might be a good place to start. \nCome along even if you don’t live in Kingsland\, we would love to connect with you! Look out for the Bike Kingsland logo on one of the tables to find us. We’ll also try make these meet ups more frequent so don’t worry if you can’t make this one. \nThe venue (Urbanaut) offers vegan\, vegetarian\, keto and gluten free burgers and beer tasting paddles! \nAbout Bike Kingsland:\nBike Kingsland is a community group in the Kingsland / Morningside / Sandringham area for all things bicycle / riding\, micro-mobility\, and alternative transportation.\nWe are a Bike Burb (or\, Bike Suburb) as part of the wider Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) Bike Burb network supported by Bike Auckland.

SUMMARY:"Together We Cycle" film screening
DESCRIPTION:On Sunday 31 July\, a group of enthusiast local parents and business owners are organising a free family-friendly film screening\, bike display and many kids activities extravaganza to imagine the potential of positive and safe cycling in the near future in Onehunga\, Royal Oak and Auckland. \nJoin us from 3pm as we welcome everyone at the Royal Oak Bowls for a social afternoon that includes a film screening of Together We Cycle from 4pm\, a documentary about how\, against all odds\, the Dutch kept cycling. In this documentary\, people tell the story of navigating a bumpy road which ultimately led to a place where cycling is an obvious choice for most.\nJason from @Pedal Easy will be onsite for free Bike Safety Checks and there will be an exciting display of cargo bikes by the new Onehunga local business Dutch Cargo Bike.  \nFood and full bar service will be available throughout the afternoon as well as many kids in-and-outdoor activities. You can park your bike for free through the Bike Auckland Valet parking service! See you there!
