Hailing from Tāmaki Makaurau\, Geneva Alexander-Marsters is an experienced and magnetic performer who has appeared alongside Ladi6\, Che Fu\, Anna Coddington and Suzy Cato. \nChance of Sun follow with their signature blend of tender three-part harmonies and indie-folk songwriting\, weaving gentle rhythmic textures through intimate\, heartfelt songs. \nThe evening will also shifts into Latin-influenced rhythms with The Wellington Silva Trio. Share kai at the Bikers Banquet (a community potluck)\, explore an antique and unusual bike display\, take in bike-themed short films\, ride the pump-track\, pedal your way to a bike-powered smoothie\, tune your ride at the Bike Hub\, learn to ride a unicycle\, or give your wheels a glow-up at the “Pimp Your Bike” workshop. \nAs the sun goes down we light up the night with a glow ride through Cranwell Park and the Henderson Creek Path – complete with the renowned Vospertron glowing robots. \nBMX showcases from world-class riders: \n\nJed Mildon – first person in the world to land a quadruple backflip on BMX\nHugh Wotherspoon – Spoonworks legend and backbone of the NZ BMX scene\nRiley Neilson – known for the biggest tricks in NZ BMX\nBrooklyn Williams – #1 dirt rider in Aotearoa\n\nBike and scooter parking will be available at key locations – please bring a lock. \nAt its heart\, Bike Curious is a community climate action event – using fun\, creativity\, and culture to celebrate the joy and practicality of getting around by bike\, scooter\, and on foot\, while imagining a more connected and equitable future. \nBike Curious\nSaturday 14 March\n3:00pm – 8:30pm\nFREE: Tickets via Humanitix \nBring your bike\, bring your friends\, bring a dish – and come get Bike Curious.  \nBike Curious is an activation delivered by Interesting Things and supported by the Auckland Urban Development Office to build momentum for active travel ahead of Henderson’s new Wai Horotiu walking and cycling connection.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a whānau friendly cycle to the beach! \nMeet us at Bike Hub Grey Lynn with your beach gear and your bike! You could even purchase a second-hand bike at the hub to use for the ride! \nThis is an ideal ride for people who want to build their cycling confidence in a fun\, social setting. All bodies and all bikes are welcome. \nFrom 11am\, join us at Bike Hub Grey Lynn. We’ll have the hub open for bike checks and second hand bike sales. You or your littlies can also have a go on the pump track before we set off. \nOur beginner-friendly group ride will begin with a calm cruise through Grey Lynn’s greenways. We will be riding on a mixture of shared pathways\, protected cycleways\, and quiet streets. You can see the route here. \nWe will be cycling at a social\, easy pace. The 5km route is mostly flat\, and we will have rest stops at the top of any hills\, making sure everyone is ready to go before we set off again. \nOnce we arrive at the beach we’ll park up with the free secure bike valet parking so we can enjoy our beach time worry-free. You are welcome to split off and do your own thing once we arrive. Or\, hang out with the new friends you made on the ride!  \nWe offer the option to cycle back to Grey Lynn Park together in a group\, following the same route. DESCRIPTION:Leave your car brain at home and Jump(er) on a Bike to help us celebrate cycling\, knitting\, and the newly completed joined-up\, continuous cycleway now open on Te Hā Noa – Victoria Street.\nThe New Zealand Fashion Museum\, Bike Auckland and Auckland Council invite you to don your warmest\, oldest\, boldest\, holiest\, most fabulous jumper (or cardigan) and jump on your bike for a jumper-themed bike parade down Te Hā Noa. \n\n5.30pm – Arrive on your bike via Te Hā Noa – Victoria Street West bike path.\nAssemble at the bike racks by Te Waihorotiu Station on the corner of Victoria Street West and Federal Street for registration.\n6pm – Parade/ride down Te Hā Noa past the judges at Elliott Street and regroup at the seating area between Elliott and Queen Street for final judging\n7pm – Park up at the free Bike Auckland Valet Parking in Darby Street and stay on for a hot drink and prizegiving in The Strand Arcade.\n\nThe best-dressed riders will win prizes\, so get creative and ride with pride! \nThe parade kicks off at 6pm – don’t miss it!
