SUMMARY:Counties Cycle Classic
DESCRIPTION:The second Counties Cycle Classic run by the Rotary Club of Pukekohe Inc. is set for Sunday 14 October 2018 at Pukekohe Park Raceway. The head sponsor is Ebbett Pukekohe\, so it has become the Ebbett Pukekohe Counties Cycle Classic event\, with options for beginners through to experienced cyclists. \nThere are three distances to choose from. 42km for fun cyclists\, 52km for intermediate cyclists and 97km for experienced cyclists.  Also on offer is a time trial for electric bikes on the 52km course\, sponsored by Counties Power. \nAll the road rides will include a circuit of the V8 track at the start and finish\, adding to the WOW factor of the event.  To make it a truly memorable day\, Rotary is also offering rides around the V8 track for children and their parents with 6-11 year olds doing one circuit and 12-15 year olds doing two. \nThis is designed as a true family day out\, with everyone from six and above able to take part.  Schools entering teams of five or more get a whopping 50% discount on the entrance fees.  Coming two weeks before the K2 road cycle event and six weeks prior to Taupo\, the Ebbett Pukekohe Counties Cycle Classic also serves as a great training ride for serious cyclists. \nWe are very well supported by our sponsors and in particular the Franklin Local Board which has provided a very generous grant both this year and last.  All profits will go to a range of charities here and overseas.
