Hailing from Tāmaki Makaurau\, Geneva Alexander-Marsters is an experienced and magnetic performer who has appeared alongside Ladi6\, Che Fu\, Anna Coddington and Suzy Cato. \nChance of Sun follow with their signature blend of tender three-part harmonies and indie-folk songwriting\, weaving gentle rhythmic textures through intimate\, heartfelt songs. \nThe evening will also shifts into Latin-influenced rhythms with The Wellington Silva Trio. Will you help us put some decorations up? \nWe’ll be meeting at Zeki’s (K’ Road) at 10am on Saturday January 31st for a chat and a beverage before continuing on to put up the decorations. You’re welcome to bring crochet\, knitting\, or other crafts to work on for while we are there. \nOnce we’re hydrated (and probably caffeinated)\, we will begin to decorate the bike parking along Karangahape Road in celebration of Pride Month. This is a legal activity; we have an event permit. The decorations are pre-made crocheted and knitted scarves. We will sew them on to the bike parking. This is known as yarnbombing. \nBeginners are welcome – we will teach you. There will be scissors\, yarn\, and yarn needles available for you and your friends to use. \nPlease wear sunblock\, bring water\, and stay hydrated. DESCRIPTION:Join Bike Hub Grey Lynn for a Sparkly Night Ride to the MOTAT Christmas Lights!\nBling up your bike with Christmas lights\, get dressed up in theme\, grab your MOTAT Christmas Lights tickets\, and meet us at Bike Hub Grey Lynn for a family-friendly sparkly ride through beautiful greenways to the MOTAT Christmas Lights.\nNot going to the lights? You’re still welcome to join the ride!\n*****\nBe at Bike Hub Grey Lynn (the northern end of Grey Lynn Park) from 7pm to decorate your bike\, have a go on the pump track\, and collect some sparkly freebies such as bike lights and retro-reflective backpack covers.\nOur beginner-friendly group ride will set off at 7.30pm. We’ll be sparkling through the greenways\, cruising briefly along quiet streets\, enjoying Meola Road cycleway\, and grooving around the Western Springs Lake to arrive at MOTAT by 8.15pm.\nThere is secure Bike Valet parking provided at MOTAT for this event\, so you can enjoy the lights worry-free.\n*******\nAbout the ride:\nThis is an ideal ride for kids\, beginner riders\, and riders who want to build their confidence in a fun\, social setting. DESCRIPTION:Event by Bike Eastern Suburbs. RSVP required as numbers are strictly limited! \n  \nCome and turn your bike into a fish! \nThis fun\, free three-hour workshop you will cut out\, assemble\, fit and decorate a cardboard fish head for your bike. We may not have time for everything to dry\, but you will have something you can take home. \nMade from recycled cardboard and foam\, the heads are custom made for each bike and can be quickly fitted and removed. \nThe workshop is at Sunhill Garden Centre Markets\, St Johns Rd from 9.00 to 12.00. \nWe will be using sharp knives and very sticky glue so it’s a workshop for bigger kids and adults (12+). Smaller kids can come but need to be one on one supervised by an adult. DESCRIPTION:Bring your crochet\, bring your knitting\, bring yourself. Let’s meet for coffee at Zeki’s (K rd) before decorating the bike parking along Karangahape Road for Pride Month!\n \nThe yarn decorations will be sewn on to the bike parking. There will be spare scissors\, yarn\, and yarn needles available. Beginners are welcome.\n \nPlease wear sunblock\, bring water and stay hydrated.\n\nStay home if you are feeling unwell. \nYou are welcome to join in the fun and knit or crochet a scarf for the K-rd bike parking too! The scarf should be 14cm or 5.5Inches wide (not stretched)\, and no longer than 260cm or 103 Inches. They can then be sewn onto the bike parking in February. Check out the how-to guide here.
