Books & Bikes with the Bruntletts

Come join Women in Urbanism on the 23rd of November for another wonderful and intimate evening – this time, with our special guests, Melissa and Chris Bruntlett of Modacity fame as they launch their new book in Aotearoa.
The Bruntlett’s beautiful new book, Building the Cycling City: The Dutch Blueprint for Urban Vitality, shares the triumphs and challenges of the Dutch cycling story, shows how some of the ideas are already being adopted in global cities, and draws out concrete lessons for other places to follow their lead.
The night will start off with a short ride around the city with Melissa and Chris. You don’t need tickets for this part of the evening. Simply join us at Peach Pit, on Auckland’s Karangahape Road from 5pm with your bike to come on a safe and guided city jaunt, pre-event.
You will need to register to come to the main event: a book talk and signing at the Auckland Central Library. The venue is limited to a fixed number of participants, so get in quick! Register now to reserve your spot.
