Adult Drop In Bike Skills Session – Northcote

April 13, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Free

This is a skills session for people new to riding. There will be separate ‘learn to ride’ instruction for anyone who has never ridden a bike.

If you can ride but lack confidence, our instructors will help with practicing skills such as changing gears, braking, bike control, signalling and more.

A mechanic will also be there to answer any maintenance questions including how to remove a wheel, how to adjust brakes and how to best look after a bike.

The session is a flexible format where you can take part in cycle skills lessons, bike maintenance, or a little of both. Unable to stay for the full time? No sweat, stay for as little or as long as you like. This is also a good opportunity to come along and ask one of our regional coordinators for more info on riding locally.

At 12 noon we will be heading off on a guided ride along the Northcote Safe Routes with those who feel confident enough to leave the grounds on a bike. This will be a great way to put your newfound skills into real world experience.

So, if you are keen to master the art of riding a bike or want to learn to fix a flat… drop in.
Bikes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We don’t want you to miss a moment of the fun, so it is best to be there early.

No need to book for these sessions.
