Who wants to ride in Auckland & Taming The Strand

This month’s Cycle Action public meeting will bring you 2 hot topics for discussion THIS THURSDAY:

  • The results of the Auckland Transport’s 2014 cycling survey of 1,250 Aucklanders. This is such second large-scale professional survey undertaken by AT, so makes for interesting reading. Melanie Alexander has been responsible for overseeing the survey in AT and has kindly agreed to present the survey results and lead the discussion.
  • The results of the extensive study of cycle and pedestrian safety on Parnell’s Stanley Street / The Strand. This is highly topical as the route is a major connector route between Tamaki Drive and the nearly completed Grafton Gully/Beach Rd cycleway. Sam Corbett from AT has been closely involved with the project and will lead this item.

The meeting will be at our usual venue at the:

Pioneer Women’s Hall

Ground floor meeting room

6pm- 8pm, 28th August
